Thanks David. Katherine at that number gave me the answer. The old, incompartible 1275s all have to be removed from the circuit. Haven’t done that yet, but it should solve my problem. I suspected such but wasn’t sure. It makes sense.

I replaced 2 Lifesaver Model # 1275 smoke alarms on a circuit of 6 total alarms with 2 Firex i4618s. when the circuit AC power was turned back on the alarms went off, some sounding alarm and some chirping. How do I get the bunch of them working again?
