15 of every 16 homes (94%) in the U.S. have at least one smoke alarm

BRK Electronics were instrumental in the design of the first patented battery operated smoke alarm in 1965. During the early 1970′s, the intense development due the success of these alarms; produced more affordable, high quality AC and battery smoke alarm systems to be used in new construction and mobile homes across the country.

In 1974, Sears, Roebuck and Company put its name on a BRK Electronics battery-operated smoke alarms. With its popularity on the rise with consumers, the Sears branded smoke alarm began prompting other manufacturers to enter the residential smoke detector market.

In 1976, BRK had then introduced the First Alert brand battery operated smoke alarms to the public. With its low cost, long lasting alarms, the sales of First Alert products had become a major part in the overall growth of the BRK Electronic brand. First Alert, together with BRK brand alarms sold primarily to electrical contractors, combined to make BRK Electronics the leading manufacturer of residential alarms.

The First Alert Tundra - Stops Fires Fast!

The First Alert Tundra - Stops Fires Fast!

Popular cooking television shows are on the rise, from Iron Chef to Man vs Food; now making new and innovative dinners at home seems to be one of the “in” things to do! But, the only drawback is that these shows have professionals chefs conjuring up these meals; making very few mistakes in the kitchen when it comes to multi-tasking. Perhaps for some of us, chopping up some vegetables while frying something on the stove could lead to potential fire hazards! The leading cause of reported home fires and home fire injuries in the United States (USFA 2007) all start in the kitchen from a range, stovetop, even electrical fires from a microwave. Most homes today are not as prepared when it comes to accidental fires, I for one still need to purchase a fire extinguisher, but I do not have anywhere to really put it and also do not want to pay any hazmat fees. According to some recent studies, close to 27 percent of Americans are not equipped with fire extinguishers.

First Alert has now come up with a really affordable and an inexpensive solution to this problem with the Tundra,  portable fire extinguisher spray. The Tundra is a cost efficient and simple way to protect your property. Placing one extinguisher in every room can save you from any unsuspected fire outbreaks that may occur and eliminates the need for the expensive and bulky fire extinguishers. Not only is the Tundra easy to use, its has 4X greater discharge time vs traditional fire extinguishers making it more effective on most common fires such as fabrics, paper, wood, electrical, and even cooking oil fires. I for one am going to purchase one of these to store under the kitchen sink and also put one upstairs in the bedroom.

Invest in purchasing a Tundra today online for the low price of $12.99 + Shipping!

This fire extinguishing spray is for you if:

• you want fire extinguishing power that’s easy to use, not big and bulky
• you would like simple extinguishing for any type of fire
